This page contains information specifically about our services for your future visit. Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking, but having an idea of what to expect can help.

What to expect on Sundays:

Once you arrive, our Welcome Team will be readily available to help you or you and your family get settled in for an exciting morning. We have Small Groups for all ages that meet at 9:30 AM. Small Groups are key to getting connected at Gum Springs. They provide community, intimacy and opportunities to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ. Our morning service begins at 10:45 AM. Children are dismissed after the music for KID's Church. Our evening service begins at 5:00 PM. Our service is all that is offered on Sunday evenings.

What to expect on Wednesdays:

We offer a kid friendly meal from 6- 6:25 then all children are dismissed to the sanctuary for worship. Children and Youth have a Praise & Worship time at 6:30 PM in our sanctuary located on our main level. After the music, children and youth are dismissed to their classes.

What to wear when you visit:

Dress for Sunday morning ranges from casual to a suit or dress. Those attending services other than Sunday morning are relaxed and casually dressed. Nevertheless, come just as you are.

Located in the beautiful Cumberland Highlands, Gum Springs Baptist Church is found in the Walling community near Sparta, TN, which is about 20 miles south of Cookeville.
